  • Configured transaction rules: The gateway allows merchants to set transaction rules, including maximum transaction amounts that have been exceeded.
  • Merchant risk limits: Gateways may impose transaction limits based on factors such as merchant risk profiles or card type restrictions.

Troubleshooting and Solutions

  • Review your current processing limits in the gateway dashboard.
  • If you anticipate higher transaction volumes, contact gateway support to request an increase in your processing limits.
  • Inform customers proactively if a transaction cannot be processed due to limit constraints and guide them on alternative payment methods or splitting payments.
